    Records in a table

    Hi
One of the tables in my database is reaching 1 million records and now when trying to pull data into an adjust screen in the application it slows and locks up becomes unresponsive, table has 34 fields mix of text, currency, date, yes/no. could the amount of records in the table be slowing things down.

Yes, definitely. Especially if you have indexes or if the database size is approaching 2 gigabytes. I would compact the database and archive old data into another file.

      Yes. Quite simply.

Another point is that Access typically fails to maintain screen updates while it is busy, thereby leading many to assume (generally incorrectly) that it has crashed. Access not being responsive simply means Access is busy.
