    Forms View confusion

i had a form with a few thin horistonal subforms, then added a thin vertical subform to the left edge of the mainform, and now, when i open the mainform in Forms View, the first two centimeters of the left edge of the form is hidden - but will show when i press the long grey vertical edge with a pointer at top next to the Form View window. (see images attached)

why does this happen, and how can i stop it? later, when i want to make it all "stand-alone" gui, will it persist?

    thanks

To be honest I am not able to guess why/what is going on, from the information available. Would you be able to upload an example database with just the relevant forms?

It is the record selector. It can be usefull for example, if you want to select the entire record for copying/deleting. You can turn it off/on by modifying the forms "Record Selectors" property.
