sum query

I have a query built that shows my products, whether the product was put into inventory or sold, the quantity of the transaction, and an expression built that will make the quantity become negative for the sales transactions.

What I am having trouble with now is creating a new query or report that will sum my transactions.

For example: I purchesed 6 of product A and 4 of Product B and have only sold one of each. I want it to be able to tell me how many of each are left.

are you trying to do this with a query or a form? How are you adding these items to your total count of product? Little more info in order to help.

Actually, I accidentally right clicked on the column and hit the Sigma sign that said totals. After doing that, I looked at the query and datasheet view and did exactly what I wanted it to do. Thanks for the advice though. I'm sure it will come in handy down the road.
