    Opening VBA hangs

I have several A2000 mdb files on a computer. I can edit the vba modules
    with no problems.

When I transfer the mdb files to another computer and try to edit a module,
the vba editor won't open (I get an hourglass) and I have to kill the access
    process or reboot.

The second computer runs the mdbs OK, just can't edit the modules.

    Reparing Access didn't help.

    Any ideas?

      Still on SP-2

I reinstalled office and that didn't help either.

I checked and references in the mde that I'm trying to use are on the
      computer.

Could it possibly be network-related in some way? Long shot I suppose but
might be useful to rule out the network by unplugging the cable.
I would definitely update to SP-3 as well particularly if you're SP-3 on one
machine and SP-2 on the other.
