    Combo Box orientation in Report

I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to orient (vertical) the Combo Box in Report? I know that the Text can be oriented in the property under the "Vertical" - and putting "Yes".
I found a way to do it- I changed the property to Text and I was able to change the orientation.

Also- after 6 consecutive times opening of the access program- it appears open with the opened icon but the program does not launch. I have to go to Start-Program and open the Access program and open my dbase from there. And still i can't make any changes from that copy. So I have to restart the computer and it works. Just wondering if my dbase is corrupt. I tried creating a new dbase and exported everything but still does the same thing. I'm afraid to launch new dbase and gets worst. Any recommendations ?

I appreciate all the help and thanks for helping me in the past- This site helped me so much and learned a lot from just reading here.

    Thanks again

I would only use text labels in a report, as a combo doesn't work on paper :-)

The database might be acting this way because of an error in the Office implementation. I would first use the "Software" aplivation from the Configuration window to repair Office and when that's not helping, a full reinstall of Office.

i have had some experience with vertical text in the past. i've got one message for you: good luck. MS Access does not like to print vertical text of any kind. try it--it prints off "#########" in place of characters. i believe labels will print but i'm sure you want more than labels in a report. you can try your hand at the work around--which is using the Arial CYR font. but i cannot get that to work either. here's the links to my previous threads--and there are lots of links within those threads which contain pretty much everything i learned about vertical text. i ended up putting my project on indefinite hiatus so if you can crack the problem you can help me out as well :)

just curious, why are you wanting to use combo boxes? when i started off with access, i used it as a mini shortcut to concatenate names (ie combine first and last names into one field) straight from a table--completely bypassing the use of queries. if this is what you are doing i would strongly suggest you perform this action through queries. it is the exact same principle and queries are much more efficient. if this is the case, i would be more than willing to help you convert to queries.

          regards,
          nate
