    Rows and Columns

I have a report that the boss would like to see in rows rather than columns. I am a bit confused on how to do this. Here is what I have now:
    Funding (Funding header)
    Name (ClientName header) Duration Total
    Phase (Phase header) Duration
    Here is what I want:
    Funding (Funding header)
    Name (ClientName header) Duration Total
    Phase Phase Phase
    Duration Duration Duration
I am confused on how to do clumns this many levels in. I know how to make the whole report do multiple columns. Please help, thanks
PS I coul do a printscreen if needed to see

I'm a bit rusty on this, but if you cannot set columns simply for the detail section, then you may need to consider creating a (columned) subreport to handle the details.
      Does this answer your question?

Right at the moment I have it kind of set up, but not quite the way I would like it.
I have it to where it puts the phases in columns, but it is kind of screwed up. I would like it to put spaces where the phases are empty, so that the phases "Extended Services", "Mentoring" and "Unbillable " phases all line up, but theyy dont. I also have page breaks between funding, which is the top level of grouping, and when one of these groups runs onto a second page the columns are off, putting the names in with the columns. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I've no idea what you're doing so don't look at me :D

To be able to help I'd need you to explain what you've done to separate the Phases into columns. That's always assuming I can remember what needs to be done when I understand the situation, but I'll try at least.

I am not sure what I am tring to do myself half the time :)
So I took your advice and tried subreports...di d the trick...the boss likes the way it turned out. Now for a more challenging one...

I'm pleased to hear it :) Be warned though, that multiple-columned sub-reports can be a bit of a struggle to maintain. Try to convince said boss(es) that it's perfect now and never to request any changes ;)

I've split your other question into the new thread.
Please continue with that across in the other thread.
