    Buttons 2007 vs. 2003

    Hello All,

I created some buttons in Access 2007 that will open up other forms or that would open up a new record, etc. Unfortunately when I save the database in Access 2003 format these buttons no longer function. I need to make the database 2003 compatible since most individuals in my office have not made the '03 to '07 switch. Any thoughts/advice?

    Thanks!

Make sure the default format is Access 2000-2003 for the databases you are developing or modifying, although you are using Access 2007. There is new functionality in 2007 which doesn't port over when you convert. I believe you set that under Tools...Options .

Is the extention of the 2007 database an mdb. If it's not you will need to convert it to and mdb first.
