Hide record in Forms if checkbox is checked

I work with a large group of people who enter tons of records each day. To seach for a specific record takes a long time. To help manage this, I have duplicated the form. One form will hold all records (open and closed) and the other form would only show the open records. In the open records form, I would like to hide a record once a checkbox is checked which indicates it is a closed record. The form was built with multiple tables.

Because I am so new to Access, if I can get an answer to this, I would also appreciate some assisance on where the code/expression/macro goes (ie OnClick?).

1. Duplicate the query that your form is based on
2. When prompted, name this new copy
3. Open the new query in Design View
4. In the Criteria box under the Checkbox field, enter -1
5. Close and Save the query
6. Go into Design View for the form
7. Goto Properties - Data and change the RecordSource to the new query

Be sure to do something to differentiate between the two forms. I always use a different background color as well as a nice big title label, so the end users don't get confused as to which records they're dealing with.

That's why we're here! This technique, by the way, is great for "deleting" records without actually deleting them! It makes archiving "deleted" records a snap!
