    Linked Table Issues

I have a linked table in my database.
When you open the database you are unable to add records.

soon as you re-import the table it all works fine again.

    anyone know why??

It works if i jsut click "add new record" and dont enter any data, but as soon as i do i get

ODBC -- insert on a linked table "businesses " failed.
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] SQL data type out of range (#0)

anyone have a clue as to why??

This is taking far too long!!

I don't believe the Linked table can be updated ie it can only contain data from what it is linked to.

If you put the linked table data into another table using a make-table query, you can add/update that without affecting the original source
