is it possible to grey out certain parts of a report if it meets a condition that i want and how abouts would a sample code look thanks

With no more information than you've given, a detailed answer is impossible. You need to take a look at Conditional Formatting, assuming you're running Access 2000 or newer.

ok well for example here is a quick report
Num. Type. Action Required
1. Existing No
2. Existing No
3. New No
4. New No
Now I need this report as is so i cant do anything in the query...but i want to like grey out the "Existing" rows b/c they are not as important...tri ed conditional formating and it doesnt seem to take any effect maybe i have a setting off or something?Comment
