    MS Access verification

    Hi,
I have built an employee reward DB where people vote for each other.
I have a form where the user enters their name, the person they are voting for along with a round number. The fields are called:

    Nominator_name
    Nominee_name
    Round_number

What i want to do is not allow a user to vote more than once in the same round, and if a user does lodge more than one vote not allow them to continue and exit the DB.
I was thinking along the lines of:

    Me.nominator_na me = Me.Round_number

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Jim

That would set the nominator's name equal to the round number which would give you no way to tell who voted for who.

What you want is to DCount("*", "TableName" , "Where Criteria") and see if that's over 1.
