    Connecting

    Hello,
I am somewhat familiar with MySQL, however I have a program called courseBuilder - actually Dreamweaver plugin, and another called Learning Site.

In DW courseBuilder creates interactive javascript driven pages which are used for instruction and evaluation - teaching. Learning Site connects all the pages together with a common navigation - an admin sign in, student sign in, results (quiz) pages.

Learning Site creates an Access db assoiated with the pages. All the files are susposed to be uploaded to the server, and they should work. I followed all instructions. The db does not work. I am thinking folder permissions maybe. I know how to set permissions in UNIX - CHMODing folders. Windows is new to me.

The admin login site is at http://www.yourelearningsite.com/site1/adminLogin.asp

default username and passcode are admin - admin.

When I try logging in - I get nothing.

If someone could walk me through creating the access_dsn files, and tell me about how they assosicate with the db files, and how to set permissions - that would be a great start to troubleshooting this.

    Thank you,
    Odisey

Although I see that this has an Access element, I wouldn't hold my breath expecting someone to know enough of all the third-party and MySQL stuff to be able to help. You're welcome to leave this here just in case someone happens to know something that may help you of course.

If you can post a similar (perhaps more specifically worded) question in the MySQL forum they (may) be able to help.
Similarly with the file-permissions in Windows.
    Good luck.
