    Configuration progress

    Apologies for posting twice in one day, but I'm struggling to get to
    grips with Access 2007!

    Why is it that every time I open an Access 2007 database, the Office
    "Configurat ion Progress" blue screen appears and takes a couple of
    minutes configuring something or other?

      Are you swtiching between that asn an older version? If so, that is a known
      issue with Office 2007. If you have *only* Office 2007 then it should not be
      happening.

          That's the answer. Yes, I'm still using an older version of Access for
          "live" work on the same machine. Thanks for clearing that up!

              Hi,

              Similarly at the University where I work we want to run Access XP
              along with Office 2007. I'm just scripting all this, but when I run
              Access XP it goes through it's MSI Installer reinstall bit, then when
              I run any Office 2007 application it does it's 'configuration
              progress' bit. Each time I swap versions I have this reinstall bit.

              You say this is a known issue? Is there a KB article on this? Where is
              it documented?
