    Access 2003 reports

    Hi :) I have a user who is unable to open current reports, and when she tries to create a new report it gives the error: The wizard is unable to create your report. The user has Windows XP SP2, Office 2000 std SP3, Outlook 2003, and MS Access 2003. The report she is trying to open (and it doesn't give an error, it just doesn't open) is also created in Access 2003. She can open/create forms, links, everything else, just not Reports. Any ideas? Thanks

      Can't think of anything that would cause it to behave like that I'm afraid.

          At a guess I would say there is no default printer set on her computer or for some reason Access can't find it. If Access can't find a printer it won't let you open any reports.

              Yah, I think it is a printer problem. I am having the same problem. I removed all of my real printers. That left the "Document Image Writer", the "Live Meeting Writer", the "XPS Document Writer" and the Fax. When did they happen? There used to be only 1 fake printer in "Printers and Faxes". Anyway I added back 1 printer and Voila! Access can access my reports again. One of the other forums said something about PCL6(?) drivers. Don't ask me I'm moving on for today.

                  These would be printer drivers. Your Fake printers really but ones that Access would identify with.
