    Looking for tutorial

Hello all I'm fairly new to access and instead of asking a bunch of questions... I'll ask this. Where can I go to find some good, thorough tutorials and learning for coding? I know almost nothing about it but am a good self teacher I just can't seem to find any good material... Any recommendations would be MUCH appreciated.

The answer to that may well be something to put in a Tutorials area.

I can't really find anything of much use as far as what I'm looking for in the tutorials section...

This is a very good resource

Microsoft Access is a unique tool released by Microsoft that provides both the functionality of a database and the programming capabilities to create end-user screens. Each version of Access can look and feel completely different from another.

            You misunderstand me DaniBecr.
I was rather expecting that a certain Mary McCarthy would be posting in this thread in the near future - I was leaving a suggestion for her, that the response she gives could profitably be added to any Tutorials section as it would be usefull for lots of the people who visit these forums.

And, Hey, Wadya know - she did ;)

BTW - I applaud your approach - "Give me somewhere I can learn the basics rather than keep asking loads of very simple questions without learning and making progress myself." - Good for you.

Have you tried EBAY, I paid on average £2-£3 for video tutorials for VB6, VB.NET,
              SQL and C++.

              Great way to learn.

You dropping hints to me again!!

Anyway, I agree with you and I think a suggestion to U NO WHO to add the aforementioned site as a link in the Tutorials section might not be a bad idea.

                    Yes!
You may like to consider a Tutorials section underneath Access as well - or at least a link therefrom to the main Tutorials section.
I think a lot of people come into just the one forum and never see any other areas of the site.
Am I keeping you busy enough? :Innocent seeming grin - fools no-one:

                    -Adrian.

                      I'm totally fooled...

As I recently put on a post you were involved in, keeping this forum fun and interesting keeps the experts interested as well as the posters. Which all around is currently making us one of the foremost forums on this site.

                      See PEB's post here

I think a link on this site to appropriate Tutorials is a good idea.

Don't want to make too much work for our friendly Administrator by asking for a restructuring of this forum. <very believable grin>
