You can first store your excel sheet in txt format by "save as" option and select text tab delimited.
Create a table in the access using "Create table by entering data". Here a table with blank fields is shown.
Click on open and select files of type Text Files "txt".
Then a link wizard will appear that will guide you through the process. Just click next next and the excel data is saved in the table that is being created.
