How to find a record from values in another form.

I have a form that i use for customers to input information that i will use to locate a specific part. This part will have a specific name that will consist of a concatination of one letter from each feild that is in the form. I am not sure on how to do this, but i was thinking that i could use a subform that displayed only one record that i could set up with the first feild in the subform to be a look up feild.(There is a table already set up with a concatination of partcodes that i will be searching for.) I thought i could auto populate the feild witht the concatination from the text feild that use in the main form to pull in the record that i need in the subform.

My goal is just to use the main form to be able to locate a record and retreive a price on a part. Maybe this is simple but i am not quite sure on the procedure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What i am trying to accomplish for example: Suppose that your a car dealer and you have a entry screen for a customer to input all the features of a car that he or she wants. When all the questions and descriptive answers on the screen have been filled out the program now does a search and finds that right car for that person. It's also on the same principle as a personals add you fill out to find your one and only soul mate. What i am trying to do is find the one part that customer needs from a list or specifactions that they input.

Hope this makes a little more since.
