    Need help

I work for an engineering firm that mostly performs structural inspections
on cranes and lift equipment. Until now we have hand written field
inspection reports, hand them in then entered into a database and formal
report written in word. Is there any way to streamline this. Can there be a
table with different components etc to enter into a report or form within
    ms access?

    Thank you

The general answer is, "Yes, you can." You can enter the information into
the database directly on a notebook computer or a tablet computer. How much
time and effort it will take to implement what you want will depend on the
details of what you want to do. If your reports consist just of inserting
the values into standard text, you can automate the Access-to-Word transfer,
    too.
