    Checking admin rights on registry?

    Hi folks!

I'm trying to develop a system that will allow users to keep preference
settings in the registry. Is there any way to detect if the user has rights
to write to the registry without error trapping?

    Thanks!

If you use the built in savesetting/getsetting functions the user can always
    write to the registry.

The restriction with these is that they can only write to HKCU/Software/VB
and VBA Program Settings/ but as you are saving user preferences this is
the correct place to do it anyway.

      Thanks Terry!

That's what I'm doing now, but didn't realize that it was always accessible.

      Thanks Again!
