    Error message

    I have been working all afternoon developing a database and then
    disaster hit. I accidently typed a "d" in a property field and didn't
    realize it and closed the window. I am getting the following message.

    "the Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find theinput table or query
    'D' Mkae sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly."

    I can still open the database, but only in design view. My "Help"
    feature isn't working now either. I can't believe I will have to start
    all over. Any ideas from anyone?

      Your problem is a bit clear as to what database object you were working
      with when you made the error. If you can tell what object you were
      working on, then you could create a new blank database, then import all
      the database objects you created from the original database, except for
      the object in which you made the mistake.

      Otherwise you need to be a little more clear.
      "I can still open the database, but only in design view" does not make
      sense. What database object is it that you can only see in design view?

          Thanks for responding! I am in the process of doing your first
          idea--copying the tables, queries to an new database. At least I won't
          have to recreate those. I was working on a form and somehow I must
          have opened a properties box. I deleted the tab on the form I was in
          thinking that I could start over from there, but that didn't work. I
          can open the form in design view, but when I try to switch to see the
          actual data in data view, I get the error message. I am new at this
          and am not sure how to explain it better. I guess it is the price I
          will pay not to have made a backup copy all along the way.
