Does anyone know where I can get a copy of Access 1.0 or 2.0?

      Hi Bruno

If they're both originals (not upgrades) how much do you want for them?
      I live in Cheltenham UK.

Why do you want those versions.

You can get Access 97 on Ebay for $60 Canadian (or about 25 Pounds).

              I have v1.0 8 floppies
              upgrade to 1.1 4 floppies
              upgrade to 2.0 8 floppies
              SP1 for v2.0 2 floppies

Two originals boxes in very good conditions.
But I'm not prepared to sell them.
I could send you a copy by e-mail.

I have 2.0 in my box of old stuff... but on 5.25 disks (10)

Do you still have a 5.25 floppy drive?

As many as you can send would be excellent. I need them for work as our
present software has been corrupted. Can you send them compressed? I
have winrar for .zip or.rar files

Many thanks for your help. Is there anything you need I might have?

No I don't. However, Bruno (above) has some floppies which should do the
trick. Many thanks for your offer anyway. Apologies for the delay in

                        Ok Steve,
take away XXX from my address and send me
                        your e-mail address.

                        I've 22 x 3.5 FDs.
                        Here the transmission code:
                        101 to 108 for v1.0
                        111 to 114 for upgrade to v1.1
                        201 to 208 for upgrade to v2.0
                        211 to 212 for SP1 for v2.0

Hoping my FDs are still readable.

Please don't wait for them tonight.
                        Ciao

                          Bruno,

I caution that the disks you might copy to send to Steve are still under
copyright, and that making a copy for someone else would be a violation of
copyright. Of course, Microsoft might not catch you, but you increased the
chances they will by posting your intent in an international newsgroup.

There was a webiste that specialized in selling old software, and I went
looking for it, but it's gone. I googled for Lotus 1-2-3, dBase, etc -
nowhere did I find these old versions. My guess is that original Access 2.0
diskettes may be actually worth some real money now. I wouldn't be quick to
                            give them up either.

You could check for recently-sold items on eBay to see what they are selling
for. Within the past year or two, there was a similar question, and the
person reported back that he'd bought the Access 2.0 disks (with manuals)
for about US$15. "Past performance is no guarantee of future...", especially
                              on an auction site. <G>
