    Stand alone database

I have an access database that I would like to sell and have it be a
stand alone product. I am unsure what the best way to lock someone out
of the tables and queries, and make it able to run if someone does not
already have access on their computer. Thank you in advance for any
    information.

    Best regards,
    Brenda

    Re: Stand alone database

Runtime support is available in the Office Developer Edition for Office XP
and earlier, and in the Visual Studio Tools for Office 2003 System. You'll
find more information about those at http://www.microsoft.com/office.

Sometimes the online auction sites have copies of the Developer Editions
that sell for less than retail, particularly if you are using a "back
    version".

For information about securing databases, you can also search
http://www.microsoft.com for the downloadable Access Security FAQ. I'd start
at http://support.microsoft.com or http://msdn.microsoft.com for that
search. Do not attempt to secure your database just using the information in
    Help.
