    Security Problem

I created a workgroup file by using the Security Wizard. The Workgroup
file Secure.mdw was deleted and I can't get onto the system. Luckily
no one else had joined the workgroup so there is only me blocked. Is
there anyway I can get back on the system on my computer? I stupidly
forgot to make a copy of the workgroup, I did how ever print the
'One-step Security Wizard Report' which contains the information on
all the users/groups. I have tried recreate the workgroup but I have
    been unsuccecfull. Any ideas?
    Many thanks

    Hi Lindsay,

You need to re-join the default workgroup "system.mdw " using the workgroup
admin utility. In Office 97 it's a separate utility but I believe that in
subsequent versions it's in the Access menus. If your secured database
needs your "Secure.mdw " then you won't be able to open it when you re-join
"system.mdw " but you will be able to operate Access "normally" (for want of
    a better word).

Access security is not for the faint-hearted. You first need to read and
    more importantly understand this:

    nt%2fsecfaq.asp >

and then apply what you learn working on copies of you files - it's very
    easy to lock yourself out!

There's also a step-by-step guide on my web site, but please save this til
last and remember to work on *copies*.

    HTH - Keith.
