I am a fairly inexperienced user of Access.
I am building a database in Access 2000 to keep track of copyright material
used in the publications of the charity I work for. Briefly, this consists
of tables for "Items" (songs etc) and "Publicatio ns" which are linked by a
"Use" table. Linked to the Use table there is a table which records details
of the "Permission s" granted for the uses. Details of the rights holders are
stored in the "Rights" table linked to the items.
I am trying to set up a form for entering details of permissions. The main
form has combos for looking up the appropriate Item and Publication and then
there is a subform for recording details of the permissions granted for this
use. On the subform there is a combo for the "territory" to which the
permission applies. This offers details in the Rights table for the
particular item. I want to automatically fill in the details of rights
holder, agent etc into the subform based on the combination of Item and
Territory. I had thought of using the DLookup function for this but am
having trouble using both of these in the criteria.
Can anyone suggest how I can deal with this?
