I'm just getting around to using pivot tables and charts. I find the
Pivot table interface to be INCREDIBLY frustrating.
When I view a table in Design view, then choose Pivot table view, I
get the PivotTable Field list, from which I can choose to add fields
to the view.
1. How do you get RID of a field once you put it in? I can not right
click on anywhere in the view and have ANY of the submenu options be
availble. From the PivotTable FIeld List window, I can right-click
and select "DELETE" any of the Summation fields, but no other fields.
2. How do you get the Pivot table list window to come up again once
you close it? Is there a function key combo? Once I close it I
cannot get it back and must open a virgin table, select pivot table
view (which gets me the window), then minimize the virgin table and
select the table I Really want to work with.
What am I missing here??? I have been working in Access heavily for
years (but not using pivot-tables) so I am very familiar with its
interface, but I can't seem to get pivot tables to work intuitively.
Thanks in advance.
