    Pivot Table

I'm just getting around to using pivot tables and charts. I find the
Pivot table interface to be INCREDIBLY frustrating.
When I view a table in Design view, then choose Pivot table view, I
get the PivotTable Field list, from which I can choose to add fields
    to the view.
    1. How do you get RID of a field once you put it in? I can not right
click on anywhere in the view and have ANY of the submenu options be
availble. From the PivotTable FIeld List window, I can right-click
and select "DELETE" any of the Summation fields, but no other fields.
    2. How do you get the Pivot table list window to come up again once
you close it? Is there a function key combo? Once I close it I
cannot get it back and must open a virgin table, select pivot table
view (which gets me the window), then minimize the virgin table and
select the table I Really want to work with.

What am I missing here??? I have been working in Access heavily for
years (but not using pivot-tables) so I am very familiar with its
interface, but I can't seem to get pivot tables to work intuitively.

    Thanks in advance.

Left click on the field name and drag it out of the form.

Not sure about this one. I've used the wizard to create a form with a Pivot
    Table based on a query.
Right click on the form to get a menu which includes the Field List. But I
don't know what you mean by the "Pivot table list window" if that's
    something different.

      1. I can left-click to drag it around INSIDE THE WINDOW so I can
rearrange columns fine, but as soon as I drag it OUTSIDE the window, I
get the little circle with the slash saying I can't put it there.
      2. It IS, in fact, called the "PivotTable Field List" window. It
contains the fields that you can drag onto the view/form window. It
also conatains a button [Add to] at the bottom and a combo box. The
combo box contains the following choices:
      Row Area
      Column Area
      Filter Area
      Data Area
      Detail Area

The button only becomes enabled when you choose a valid item from the
      combo box.
Once I drag them onto the view (or click [Add To]), I can't get rid of
      them.

If you add a field to the "Data Area" you CAN right click on it in the
"PivotTable Field List" window and select DELETE. None of the other
      fields can be deleted.

      VERY FRUSTRATING!
      Thanks for any help.
