    LDB file

Please bear with me ... this may be a very stupid question ...

If I split my database and store the back-end on a network drive and the
front-end on the hard drives of each user, where is the LDB file created?
On the network drive or on the hard drive?

If it is created on each hard drive, how would the other users be able to
    read that file?

    I warned you ...

    Re: LDB file

which LBD file, the one from the back-end or the front-end?

Both are stored in the same location as the actual database file.

    Hope this make sense.

    Why do you ask???

An .ldb file is created in both the frontend directory and the
backend directory. One for each corresponding .mdb file.

The only one you are concerned with would more then likely be the one
created on the server for the backend which will be the same for all the
        frontends that connect to it.
