    Linked Tables

    1. Is an ODBC link activated when you first open the database? A customer gets
some kind of network message when his users activate his ODBC link through a
query, form or report. I made some changes in the database for him so that only
the admin can access queries, forms and reports that are tied to his ODBC link
so users never get the network message. Now I'm wondering if the ODBC link gets
    activated at start-up.

    2. The same question about standard links to tables in external databases at
    start-up?

    Thanks!

    Steve

Turn on ODBC tracing (see ODBC applet), and perform some tests. Write

    Thanks,
