Corrupted Database Help

I just migrated to Office 2003. When I opened an important Access
database, Access 2003 promptly destroyed it.

Unfortunately, there was a glitch in my backup routine and two
folders, including the one containing this database, didn't back up
properly.

Is there any way to save =any= of it, even just get at the tables?

While yelling for help, I also continued to try to find a solution. In
case it might help someone else in a similar situation, here's what
happened.

As it turned out, while Access 2003 would no longer open the database,
Excel was able to open each and every table. Also, interestingly, when
I brought the database to work where we are using Office2K, Access 2K
was able to open the database.

Unfortunately, it seems that the "corruption " is based on an Access
2003 security "feature" that disables VBA code unless a Jet update
(that isn't included in the installation CD) is downloaded and
installed. Although the database, including VBA functions, worked fine
in Access 2000, the code was no longer viewable or accessible. The
good news is that I keep a copy of the database around for new code
testing purposes, so it was a "simple" matter to clean up the test
database, transfer my data and get up and running with all of my data
intact and 98% of my functionality.

We'll see what happens when I open it in Access 2003 the second time
around (I have downloaded and installed the Jet update).
