    Database Window Columns

I have a database in Access 2000 that has had the Description column in the
main database window shrunk to gone. I need to restore that column so I can
    see the descriptions again.

Any suggestions about how to get it to reappear? Dragging the Name column
just resizes the name. Dragging the Modified column just resizes the
modified date. I've tried right-clicking, searching the menus, and the help
file all to no avail. I've Google'd, MVPS'd, and Knowledge Base'd for a
solution. Perhaps I'm using the wrong keywords, but everything I find talks
about how to hide or show the database window.

I'm in the middle of a migration from Access to SQL Server and need these
descriptions to see what has and has not been done, so any suggestions
anyone can provide would be most appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Matt

Thanks, but unfortunately I don't have a Format menu. When the database
window is selected, I've just got the standard File, Edit, View, Insert,
      Tools, Window, and Help menus.

However, now I feel like an idiot. The key is to put the mouse between the
two columns and wait until the pointer looks like <-| |-> (with a space in
the middle, instead of <-|-> with the solid bar in the middle). I stumbled
onto that by accident. Once I found it, I saw my descriptions again.

          Hi Matt,

Thanks for sharing your solution. I tried it out by shrinking the description column so
that it wasn't visible. Your solution is the only one that I could get to work!

Nope, that wasn't the problem. I had it set for Detail (although I think I
forgot to mention that in my post). It was set for Detail but the
Description field had gone away. Name, creation date, modification date,
etc. were all there, but the Description was gone.

See my second post for what turned out to be the solution. But thank you
            for the input.

Sorry, I misread your post, I thought you had a hidden column in table view!
