    sum

Students need to sum a price field, how do we do a sum in access
without having to go to excel. Can it be done in a atble as well as a
    query.
    Grateful students!

    Re: sum

    Lort Elfus !
    .....and your poor students.

Database Tables are for storing Data
    NOT manipulating or displaying Data.

Use a Query or a Report

    See:
Help > Contents > Working with Queries.
Help > Contents > Working with Reports.

Most of all See Help: Contents.

Start at the top and read to the end.
then apply for some In Service training, and read a few
of the good Access Training Handbooks available.
    Then Create some applications.
....and THEN, MAYBE, think about teaching Access.
