    Setup sourcesafe 6 to include check-in comments at top of source file

    Hi,

    Does anybody work with visual sourcesafe 6 as configuration management tool?

    If so, I wonder if anybody does know how to set it up so that, when i check in a .c source file, check-in comments (the ones i put in the sourcesafe dialog at the time of checking in) appear at the top of my source file as comments on the code (so that the history report for each source file is self-contained in the file).

    Any help would be appreciated.-

      My recollection is that it is in the help file somewhere.

          With your hint, I found it now in the help file.

          The problem I had is that I didn't know what exactly to look for.

              That is so often the case, help files are a bit like dictionaries. People use dictionaries to look up spellings but in fact they are no good for that unless you have some idea of how to spell the word in the first place. I problem I get all too often. :D
