Dear All,
Is it possible to have an updatable query where rows are the rows of one
table and the columns are the fields of another table?
More details: I want this for planning the constuction of houses in time
TBL_CALENDAR: has all working days.
TBL_WORK_GROUPS : has all workgroups working to build a house: WorkGroup1,
WorkGroup2, WorkGroup3, WorkGroup4
TBL_CLIENT: has all cients (construction yard): Client1, Client2, Client3,
Client4
WeekNr. Date TblWorkGroup.fi eld1 TblWorkGroup.fi eld2
TblWorkGroup.fi eld3 etc.
22 1/6/2007 Combo2selectCli ent
Combo2selectCli ent Combo2selectCli ent
22 2/6/2007 Combo2selectCli ent
Combo2selectCli ent Combo2selectCli ent
WeekNr. Date WorkGroup1 WorkGroup2 WorkGroup3
WorkGroup4
22 1/6/2007 Client1
22 4/6/2007 Client2
Client2
22 5/6/2007 Client3 Client2
Client2 Client1
The final form should have some code to prevent errors while adding and
editing the planning.
WorkGroup1 should come before WorkGroup2.
WorkGroup1 must be the only group on the construction yard. Record2 is not
correct.
WorkGroup1 cannot start on a Friday. Record1 is not correct: 1/6/2007 is a
Friday !
Etc.
For the moment we do the planning with Excel and can't find a better
solution in Access.
Thanks,
Filip
