    How to access web service from client-side Jscript?

    I understand that MS has dropped support of the webservice HTML component.

    So, what is the new "supported" way of accessing a web service from
    client-side Jscript?

      But the webservice behavior is still documented at

      why do you think MS has dropped support for it?
