I wanted to do something I thought was simple: I have a windows media file playing and when it finishes I want to move on to a new page. I would also prefer there to be a picture, NOT a black spot where the video will initially be...I don't mind a small delay as it buffers.

I thought this was simply a matter of indexing the WM file at the end with a new URL to go to, but what actually happens is it attempts to pop up a new window....
