Memory Card is not detecting in Windows XP

Hi friends,

I have Windows XP OS which is installed recently. When I insert Memory Card, it is not getting detecting? Can you pl help me ?

Is the memory card reader detected and installed properly? Check the device manager for anything that has a question mark, red X or is in the category "Unknown devices".

Hi Nepomuk,

When I insert Memory Card, It is not detecting at all. It was working fine in the same laptop in Old OS. I checked the Device Manager..It seems Ok..Can you give any other suggestion? I will try from my end.

maybe you did not install a card reader driver for your laptop, , ,

That is quite possible, yes. The best way to check that is by reinstalling the drivers; so what you have to do is:

1. Find out the make and type of laptop you have (normally it gives the type on the bottom or under the battery)
2. Go to the makers website and look under Support, Drivers, Downloads or something similar
3. Find and download the driver for the card reader for Windows XP
4. When finished, restart the computer

Hopefully after you do that the card should be recognized.

I am using TOSHIBHA A135 Model.

I searched a Card Reader Drivers to download for the above model and found the below link.. Here they have mentioned lot of Drivers.. Can you please let me know which Driver Should I install? You can also let me know if there is any other link for this Card Drivers Download.
