I expect the most likely issue that the file you were in the middle of copying when the machine was switched off was corrupted. I am a little surprised that it was not still on the pen drive but a switch off at exactly the right time could result in the file being missing from both computer and pen drive.

How did the game get on the pen drive in the first place? Get another copy of it from the original source.

Never move files off a pen drive, copy them off and once you are sure the copy has completed successfully delete them.

Also, you can't always just copy the files over and expect a program to run. They often have registry keys and DRM that prevent such actions. Your best bet is to reinstall from the original media.

you could also try some recovery/undelete software on the pendrive. If you haven't over-written it with anything since, chances are the data would still be there.
