    why are there 4 user names in the task manager Pavla/System/Local svc/Network service

    My new Windows 7 computer has 4 user names in the windows task manager. (Pavla, LOCAL SERVICE, SYSTEM, NETWORK SERVICE) Why? can I delete some of these or has someone infiltrated my system? I have a new screen on start-up which I didn't set. It used to be plain blue now it has a dove on it. Please forgive my ignorance :)

      Hi!

      The users SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE and NETWORK SERVICE are nothing to worry about - those are just tasks, that aren't user specific but have to run for the whole system to work as it should.

      As to the startup screen, I can't help you - if you installed any system tool lately that might have changed it, but I haven't ever have anything do that to me without asking.
