PC: XP SP3
Browser: IE8
We have a set of documents on a network drive accessible by a LAN web page. I can browse to them with Windows Explorer no problem. I once was able to open these documents by clicking links on the page. I can still do this from other systems. So, access permissions across our network is not the issue.
Recently, I've applied some Microsoft Windows updates. Some were related to .NET and Silverlight. Other updates were for the viewer I downloaded from Microsoft a while back (Word 2007 Viewer).
Every time I click on a local page within IE8, it comes back with an error. "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". However, when I use Windows Explorer (outside of Internet Explorer) and open the document, it displays no problem within MS Word.
Is there a registry entry or somewhere I can check?
