can't remember admin login and pass how can I get access for xp

I am trying to install office 2010 on my xp computer, but it won't install without administrater login and password. I have no clue what it is,my ex originally set this computer up. How can I turn this off and be able to install my new software.

In our posting guidelines, it categorically states that you should not post "Posts containing any information or questions on how to hack or crack or produce code with some other malicious intent." Now, even though in situations like the one you described you wouldn't be doing anything illegal, the information on how to do it could easily be used for getting illegal access to a foreign computer system and could therefor be considered cracking.

So, the only advice I can give you is: either try to recover the password (e.g. asking your ex) or do a complete reinstall of the system and thereby reset the password.
