    Can't display Vista Network

After restoring our Dell Vista system, and rebuilding the environment -- started having network issues -- couldn't connect to 1 or more of the other PC's in our home network, etc.

Now when I do a <START> <NETWORK> I get just the frame of the NETWORK window and it just sits there, never completes the display in the window.,

This PC can access one of the other 2 PC's; the PC which it cannot access CAN access it (ping, map network drive); strange?

Is there a way to completely reinitialize the Vista Network environment?

    Thanks!

Try start->run "services.m sc" and ensure the "Computer Browser" and "DHCP Client" services are started.

Another thing you should try to right-click on the network icon in the task bar and choose "diagnose and repair". This will restart networking services, renew your ip address, etc. In vista it's usually pretty informative if it finds any errors.
