    I will have a look later but meanwhile -

    1. are there any errors in the system or application event logs at the same time?

    2. please confirm is it when you try to connect to this PC via RD or when this PC tries to connect to another PC using remotedesktop.

        sorry, you missed a question -

        are there any errors in the system or application event logs at the same time?

        to access event logs, right click on my computer then select manage and expand 'event viewer'

        there may be various errors in there but look out for any at the same time as the machine reboots.

          AS per my experience this problem causes the display driver configuration problem. Please reinstall the INF drivers and the display driver then restart the system. Please check if there any SMS mirror driver is installed in the device manager,please uninstall the same in the safe mode. I hope these solutions will resolve your issue.

          Best redargs,

            Fixed!!

            Read this in another post . . .thought I'd put it here in case anyone still looking.

            Check Routing and Remote access service on the machine you are trying to connect to.

            START -> RUN -> services.msc

            If disabled, double click, set to automatic, and start the service. Try to connect again.
