manually change resource settings of a device

    Hi

I am unable to set resource settings of a device from Device Manager manually - the fields are disbaled by default.
The check-box to disbale/enable 'auto resource settings' is also disabled.

How can i enable it and be able to change resource settings manually

    Thanks
    Qi

Well, Try the Microsoft documentation at link below----->

    LINK

Remember that you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. If the computer is joined to a domain, members of the Domain Admins group might be able to perform this procedure. As a security best practice, consider using Run as to perform this procedure. (taken from link above).

I don't think this will not solve your problem as I consider you face a different problem. But we expect (and you need to provide) more details about this problem such as---->

    1. Which is your OS?
    2. For which device you are modifying resource settings?
    etc.

    If problem persists, reply back.........

    HOPE THIS HELPS.........
