    Url watch on server

    Hi

It is possible that when a workstation is connected to a server, the Server administrator can watch on the Server all the websites being opened on the workstation. My question is what if a software is being used on the workstation that retreives data from a website and then displas it, would that url, too, where the software fetches the data from be showed on the server to the administrator?

Note: This software is not a web browser but a basic software that fetches some data e.g local city temperature, etc from a website and displays it

    Thanks
    Qi

of course :) ... the admin could just force you to use a proxy where every request has to go through and he could even prohibit you from viewing specific sites or just log the urls you have used ... typically in an enterprise environment this IS done ...

    kind regards
