API to read the finger print ID

    Hello,

I know there exits Windows APIs for reading the logon credentials. We can read the logon password using the APIs.

I am working on a module which requires the finger print ID associated with the finger print logon. If such an information exists please let me know.

One of the interface in the module requires that input.

    Please do the needful.

    thankx & rgds,
    Chandra.

[API to read the finger print ID]

    Hi,

As we are aware there are APIs in Windows to access the logon credentials. I mean the username and the password can be read using those APIs.

And the recent systems have the option of logging into the system using the finger print reader. I assume that the finger print read will be stored as a image and an corresponding ID will be stored.

I am working on a module which requires the ID of the finger print to be read.

Basically an Windows API or script in any language that works for Windows would serve the purpose.

    thanks in advance.

    rgds,
    ChandraBN.

[Hardware ID: Fingerprint of the computer]

        Hello,

One of the module requires the following,

Hardware ID (HID): A unique string derived from a fingerprint of an individual computer. The HID is a unique identifier for the computer from which it is derived.

There are APIs or interfaces in windows to access the device id of the device connected to the system. I want to know whether a similar API or an interface exists to access the hardware id of the computer.

Any information about the hardware id of the computer would be helpful.

        thankx & rgds,
        ChandraBN.

Sorry for the spam in "How To", but I tried to delete my two messages. But the link edit/delete gave the option only to edit but not for delete.

              Sorry again for the spam.
