Windows Installer Problem/popup

Ok trying to keep this simple. I have this Windows Installer pop up everytime i open a program on my computer. Iv searched everywhere and tried everything i can think of. Only thing i havent done is uninstall the windows installer and reinstall it.. iv tried upgrading and nothing.. iv tried windows installer cleanup.. but for some reason i get this, run- time error '-2147024882 (8007000E) system error &H80004005 (-2147467259), to be exact... and wont allow me to clean anything.

Im downloading Windows Service pack 2 right now and will see if this fixes my problem. I recently had a virus problem which took some time to get rid of. but im guessing this Windows Installer pop up is a result in this virus problem.. i have old and new HJT reports in another forum that i could get if needed..

Plz help me.. im dying to get rid of this.. more of annyonce then a problem..

Further more, you said-"I have this Windows Installer pop up everytime i open a program on my computer". Which is that program that causes windows OS to pop up windows installer or this problem is with every .exe file? Also when windows installer is launched, what it does after it's launch?

MSICUU gets run-time error (8007000e) and System Error &H80004005. Unspecified error when it is used to uninstall fragments of applications.

This error is a VB/VBA automation error.Specifica lly this error means ‘Out of memory’.

Remember, part of the description of the error will include a link, which you
should double click for further information. You can copy using copy
and paste. Often the link will, however, say there is no further
information.

Possible Cause and Remedy:

This error has been encountered when an application was attempting to write to the NT/W2K event log but the NT/W2K event log was full. The event log was set to ‘Override events older than NN days’ (and there was no system message indicating that it was full). Changing this to ‘Overwrite Events as Needed’ removed the error. The application in question was a Visual Basic 6 application, it is not clear if that is significant.
