Just starting to plan what systems should I choose to develop a website which can provide document control support for company which offices in multiple locations. Challenge here is not metadata as this will not exceed more than 20 fields but each record can contain an attachment varying from 120KB to 200MB anything. Some might be bigger. User authentication & authorization to certain projects/ types of data will also be a concern.
Ideal situation will be to have projects setup & authorize users to view / access all data for related projects only.
At the moment we use MsAcces but transportation of data is a challenge from site. Just thinking of putting some solution to resolve this so users can work directly at a system manual data transportation is not required.
