Well , from past few year i am making programs with vb6 but now its seem that i must have to learn vb.net as vb6 is getting obsulute for this as i donot know much about vb.net i want to know from you people

    a) which software is best to make vb.net application , some time i read i have to install visual studio 2008 or visual studio experes etc , so what you suggest the software i have to use .

    b) please name some book (that must show me by screen shots too) to learn vb.net , once i also see a learing tool i think that for vb6 or some other that show us by vidoes to learn that software , so is video tutorials for vb.net is alos available. I am curretnly only intereted in learing database programming.

    c) Let say i make an application with vb.net , then if i deploy that appliction on other computer ,will it necessary for the computer to install .net frame work?

Okay, if you goto M$ you should be able to download versions 2k5, 2k8, and 2k10 express versions which are free to use so you can learn...

Personally, I like the QUE series of books as they are easy to read but then again I also own some M$ press books which are not so easy to read in some places. Best bet is to take some time and go down to your local barns & noble or borders book store and have a thumb through their IT section. Make sure you get at least one book in the beginner to intermediate range and one from intermediate range to advanced. I also like those books that have CD's with them that have a lot of example programs contained within...

YES! If that framework is not already installed...

Next time, you should ask this question in the VB.NET section as you should get more answers and more recommendations

    Good Luck
