How to move to row in datagrid when key is pressed?

I have a datagrid full of contact information.

I'd like to enable the user to press the first letter of the contacts last name and have the datagrid automatically scroll to an highlight the first contact in the list whose last name starts with the letter pressed.

For example - if the user presses G then the datagrid automatically scolls down to the first row that has a contact with a last name that start with G.

Any ideas on how to do this?
