How do I get VB.Net to use .net framework 3.5?

I have VB2005 running and all the references, by default are .Net 2.0
although I have installed 3.5. How do I get VB to use this latest release?

    Hello Jerry,
I have VB2005 running and all the references, by default are .Net 2.0
although I have installed 3.5. How do I get VB to use this latest
    release?
Unfortunately this requires an upgrade to VS2008
