VFP CHRTRANC equivalent in VB

I've got a column of data in an SQL db that was encrypted using the VFP
CHRTRANC function. I need to decrypt it.

Any ideas or functional equivalents for this function in VB? (I thought I'd
ask because alot of VB programmers, like myself, did FoxPro long ago in the
dark ages.)
